Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information when you use our website and services, and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

Italiwalls Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 12461917, with our registered office in Portsmouth.

By using the service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Information you give us

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Billing and payment details (processed by our payment provider, we do not store full card numbers)
  • Any information you include in enquiries, support requests or course submissions

Information collected automatically

Usage data is collected automatically when you use the service. It may include your device's IP address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data. Where you access the service from a mobile device, we may also collect the device type, unique device ID, mobile operating system and mobile browser type.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies, including beacons, tags, pixels and scripts, to operate the site, remember your preferences, and measure and improve our marketing.

Cookies can be "persistent" (remaining on your device after you go offline) or "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser). We use both.

  • To manage your requests and respond to enquiries.
  • For business transfers, to evaluate or carry out a merger, restructuring or sale of some or all of our assets.
  • For analysis and improvement. Identifying usage trends, measuring the effectiveness of campaigns, and improving our products, marketing and your experience.

We may also share your information: in connection with a merger, sale of assets, financing or acquisition; with our affiliates, where we require them to honour this policy; with business partners, to offer you products, services or promotions; with other users, where you post publicly in community areas; and with your consent, for any other purpose.

We may disclose your personal data where required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights or property, prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing, protect the personal safety of users or the public, or protect against legal liability.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, and to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

  • Customer and order records: 6 years from the end of the relevant financial year, for tax and accounting purposes
  • Course accounts: For as long as your account remains active, and for 12 months afterwards
  • Marketing contacts: Until you unsubscribe, or after 3 years of no engagement
  • Enquiries that do not become customers: 2 years from your last contact with us
  • Usage and analytics data: Up to 26 months, in aggregated form where possible

International transfers

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside your country, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Some of our service providers are based outside the UK.

Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we do so only where an adequacy decision applies, or under appropriate safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this policy.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification, have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Erasure, ask us to delete your data in certain circumstances.
  • Restriction, ask us to limit how we use your data.
  • Portability, receive your data in a portable format, or have it sent to another controller.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

United States residents

A significant proportion of our customers are in the United States. If you are a US resident, the rights described above are offered to you as a matter of policy, regardless of whether a particular state privacy law applies to us.

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and ask us to stop sending you marketing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights, you will receive the same service and pricing either way.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising in exchange for payment. We do use advertising and analytics cookies where you consent to them, as described in our Cookie Policy.

Security

The security of your personal data is important to us, but no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Children

Our service is intended for users aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

Links to other sites

Our service may contain links to sites we do not operate. If you click a third-party link you will be taken to that site, and we strongly advise you to review its privacy policy. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of third-party sites or services.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Where changes are significant, we will let you know by email or a prominent notice on the service before they take effect. You are advised to review this policy periodically.
